Top 10 Spiritual Books

10 spiritual books you need to read

I have been asked recently on numerous occasions what my top 10 books are for spirituality. In no particular order these are my favourites and the reasons why.

Angels in my Hair- Lorna Byrne

This was my first book I read about Angels. Prior to this I had NO idea that angels were around us. This book, I believe, was her first one. Reading her story there is such humility with Lorna and such an easy introduction into the world of Angels. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Angels. Angels in My Hair by Byrne, Lorna (2010)

Moonology- Yasmin Boland

Working with the moon cycles has seriously changed my life! I have let go of sooo much stuff and brought things into my life which I never would have expected. For example my first new moon intention setting I wrote a list of 10 things I wanted from January 2018. One of them was to appear on TV/Radio to talk about crystals or Reiki. 2 days letter I get a phone call asking me to go on a local radio station and talk about crystals! Seriously? So if you want to learn how to work with the Moon Cycles I highly recommend this book! Moonology: Working with the Magic of Lunar Cycles

The Four Agreements- Don Miguel Ruiz

A friend lent me this book. In terms of simplicity and ease to read I highly recommend. It provides us with the basic principles for life that we should never forget. This is how he describes the book. “The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, The Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.” The Four Agreements: Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (Toltec Wisdom Book)

Rise Sister Rise- Rebecca Campbell

I read this following my divorce and I think it was the first book I have read which talked about owning your feminine side. It reminded me what it meant to be a woman and to embrace the various stages we go through as women. It helped me to embrace my inner power and to own it. Rise Sister Rise: A Guide to Unleashing the Wise, Wild Woman Within

Top 10 Spiritual Books

Bringers of the Dawn- Barbara Marciniak

I was introduced to Barbaras work in January 2019. I hadn’t heard of the Pleidians before but something resonated when I watched her YouTube channel. I haven’t finished this book yet but I have to say everything in it makes sense to me. I don’t know if I have always had that knowing? If you believe there is more out there I highly recommend this book to all extra terrestial fans. Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians

Voices in my Ear- Doris Stokes

This was the very first book I ever read about ‘spiritual’ stuff when I was 11 or 12. The fact that this woman could speak to dead people amazed and fascinated me. Considering it was the 1960s’ and 1970’s she always stood her ground and stood strong in her conviction that there was an afterlife and she could speak to spirit. Voices In My Ear: Autobiography of a Medium

Reiki and the Seven Chakras- Richard Ellis

This was one of the only Reiki books I read that actually incorporated Reiki into the real world. I learnt so much about chakras from this book, what it meant if they were balanced and unbalanced. Highly recommend for any Reiki therapists or anyone interested in chakras. Reiki And The Seven Chakras: Your Essential Guide to the First Level

Life Lessons- Elizabeth Kubler Ross and David Kessler

I read this in 2018 and seriously wish I had read it when I was at school. It covers a variety of topics such as power, relationships and love. Simply written and lessons we could all do with learning about to provide a strong foundation.

The Alchemist- Paulo Cohelo

I read this a long time ago followed by several others of his books and I remember that they left a strong impression on me as a 20 something year old. The Alchemist: A Fable About Following Your Dream

The Red Tent- Anita Diamant

Every woman should read this and pass it onto their daughters, nieces or grandchildren. A story of how women used to come together, to support and share stories. The Red Tent

I must have read at least 100 various spiritual books over the last 10 years and have found it difficult to shortlist them. I would love to hear what your favourite spiritual book is! Let me know in the comments below 🙂
